Changed My Number Without Consent

Today I was switching over to an old phone to use. And it came to the part of keep your phone number or get a new one. I said keep number. But for some reason they directed me to change my number. It said in the menu that they only change your number if you actually confirm it. But I didn't confirm it and they still charged the number. No matter what I have tried to do they haven't changed it back to my me original number that I asked to keep. Please help.
