error: "Serial Number you entered is associated with"

Postby ReubenL » Wed Jan 25, 2012 5:12 pm

greetings- I also am getting the activation error:
"We are sorry, the Serial Number you entered is associated with another account or is already active. Please try again with a different serial number or log into "My Account." "
I bought this phone (Nokia E71) used... there's no SIM, so I need to get one- but it won't let me get that far, as the phone appears to still be 'locked' to someone's account?
I can get ahold of the previous owner, but... is that necessary?
(I can give the IMEI... just not in a public forum!)
thanks
~Reuben

Same exact issue here for two E71's. I was on with customer service for over two hours and issue was left unresolved. Any help would be nice since now the website shows the two air cards have been activated.

I too am having the same issue. Just bought a Samsung T401G off of craigslist. Can't get it setup because of this error.

And I can't even reset the phone as I don't have the password....

I too am getting this error when I try to register my Samsung T401G that I bought off of Craigslist. I also can't reset the phone as I don't have the password.
