A COUPLE OF DAYS AGO I SAA WHERE THE STYLO 2 WAS GETTING ANDROID 7.0 SOFTWARE UPDATE. BUT I JUST FOUND OUT THAT STRAIGHT TALK STYLO 2 WILL NEVER GET AN OTA UPDATE. AND I FEEL RIPPED AND JI]ED OFF. IVE HAD SERVICE WITH ST SINCE 9_2015 AND JUST BOUGHT AND ADDED THIS LINE. I AM WELL AWARE OF DOING MY UPDATES MYSELF BUT I WOULD NEED A COUPLE OF CODES FROM STRAIGHY TALK TO UNLOCK BOOTLOADER. PLEASE HELP BEFORE I TAKE B

Hi PChrisVeatch. My name is Straight Talk Shelly. We are sorry for the trouble. The software version (like from version 2.3.3 to version 2.3.6) of the phone can be updated as long as a new version is available. Google will send notifications when your phone is connected to Wi-Fi. The operating system of the phone can't be upgraded though since it can affect the performance of your phone. As much as we would love to provide you with the codes to enable this feature, it is not possible. There is no unlock code for it.

Yep..I totally understand. I'm experiencing the same thing..it's crap. I'm about to tell EVERYONE I know and people I dont to NEVER had I don't understand this forum at all. I just want to update Android versions and have went through hell trying to do so. I have been a loyal customer for 8/9 years now. I can't even remember how many straight talk phones I've had and now I figure out the scam behind it all. You can never update versions..it's blocked! If you want up to date, go out and buy another new phone. This is ridiculous. And I'm just messing someone to guide me through a way around the blocked Android updates.. Please!!
