Sir or Madam:
Yesterday, I received my refurbished Nokia E5 in the mail and my service card that I had ordered last Thursday. After I had charged the phone I went to turn it on to activate it. I was halted by the message "SIM card not valid". I could not proceed to the menu, and pressing keys told me that I could only use the phone for "Emergency Calls Only". So, I started researching the issue. I found where one person was given the resolution to go ahead and register the phone through the website and it would clear this issue up. Well, I did just that. I registered the phone through the straighttalk.com website. I still got the same error after shutting the phone off and turning it back on. The website suggested I wait one hour and try again. I did, and I've tried again several times since. I sent a support email and received an automated response that said I would have my issue resolved within 6 hours. That email was sent to me at 8:39 p.m. CST. It is now 5:29 a.m. CST (nearly 9 hours), and I haven't had any further response from customer support on my issue. My phone continues to give me the same "SIM card not valid" message. On my account page it shows that I have a phone number and my $45 card was successfully activated during registration which means that I have wasted it if this is not resolved. The automated email told me that my email was forwarded to the "E-mail Response Team" for resolution. Could you please check on this to see if that is indeed the case. Could you please ask them to send me a resolution to my issue? I'd rather fix this problem through email or here in the forums rather than over the phone. Thank you for your time.
