I purchased a refurbished Nokia E71 last week from the StraightTalk website. I was only mildly surprised when the phone failed to activate as I had this same issue with an E71 purchased last August. After over an hour on the phone, giving the same exact info three times to three different reps, ST agreed they needed to send me a new SIM card.
I just received the SIM today, called StraightTalk, and, SURPRISE SURPRISE...than damn phone STILL WON'T ACTIVATE!! Screen says "SIM CARD REGISTRATION FAILED". How can ST keep sending out E71's that won't activate? Aren't refurbished phones tested before being sold to the public?
This is ridiculous. ST offers a great value to customers, but I'm very disappointed and frustrated. Now its going to take me at least ANOTHER HOUR bouncing around customer service to get a return authorization.
