Nokia Lumia Icon - Compatibility check.

I've browsed around for a bit but been unable to find a straight answer on this.

If I buy a Lumia Icon outright from Verizon or the other available sales channels, will it work properly on Straight Talk? And if so, do I need to go the AT&T route? Has anyone done this already, and can you provide guidance?

Hi Flarestar. You will need to check what networks will work with our Bring Your Own Phone program at http://www.straighttalkbyop.com. Thanks.

Yeah, I read that before I posted, but that doesn't tell me how much of a pain it is to get the phone itself working. I mean it can run on almost any carrier, but that doesn't mean all functions will work, or that it's particularly easy to set up and switch. Hence my request for guidance from someone that's done it already.
