This is my last ditch attempt to find the right internet apn and mms apn settings for the 620. I have tried 5 different setting protocols based on both the 'old' SIM settings and the 'new' settings, i.e. with tf instead of tracfone in the entries.
I ordered the SIM directly from ST and have been a ST customer for a few years. After receiving my second ZTE refurb which was junk and being stuck with the myriad of phone covers, screen protectors, a clip, and finally the phone itself, I decided to reactivate my Samsung Centura while I shopped for a Win OS phone. ST does not sell Win OS so I purchased an unlocked one from Amazon, including the unlock code and have been able to successfully do everything except program the access points. I am two seconds from ditching ST because I am stuck selling all the ZTE Valet stuff on Ebay myself, most of it unopened, and because ST does not sell a single Win OS phone, I had to also give up my Verizon coverage and go with the sketch AT&T coverage in my hilly area.
I have been on both the ST site, on +15 or so forums about Win OS phones and ST, Nokia 620, new vs old apns, and even researched other phones. The other posts I have read involved people who had followed the settings directly from a ST rep and after the ZTE disaster of getting a second phone, I simply don't have 3 hours to spend with ST to get an answer which is not going to work. If any representative would like to mail my inbox, please feel free. If someone who has already been emailed by a representative and has the answer would like to email me, please feel free. I have now spent over 5 hours on this simple problem alone today and this forum, owned by ST, will decide my next move. If you would not mind spelling out each component, including whether or not the ST login username and password is needed and also distinguish between the internet apn requirements versus the mms apn requirements for each blank using the latest Nokia Access Point app download, I would be most appreciative.
Sincerely,
hecutler
