Lumia 1520

Lumia 1520

Postby james7679 » Sat Jan 25, 2014 12:23 pm

Had a Lumia 928. I was told the phone was not fully compatible because Verizon locks out some of the bands on other networks for US usage, even though the phone is factory unlocked. I was told that as long as I got an ATT phone and use the ST sim I would be fine.

Now, on to the new issue. I received my very expensive, newly purchased, Lumia 1520. I popped the SIM in and set all of the APN settings and still no MMS. As far as data, I am showing 4g, but no LTE, and the speeds are very slow. Speedtest yielded just over 1mb dl and .32mb dl.

Please help me. My switch over to ST was supposed to save me money. At this point, two lines, two contract cancellations and two new phones to replace the one's that wouldn't work, has cost me nearly $1,000.

I've been searching everywhere for apn settings for Lumia 1520! I've used straight talk for years, except for a year long strike I took BC their customer service pisssed me off so bad! Every rep tells me something different, contidict each other, its totally unorganized! I once lost my phone number of 4 years bc their computers said I haven't been active in 6 months... But when I offered to fax my bank records showing monthly st autorefill deductions he said he doesn't need them BC his computer shows him the info.. "I'm sorry that ur computers are 100% wrong!".. So now I have this Nokia Lumia that
has SLOW internet & no pic messages.. I've been told over & over that it doesn't guarantee all devices will get all the features.. Come on! Seriously?? This phone is the top technology & straight talk is saying it isn't capable of getting pic messaging feature?? Its 2014!! Any prob with straight talk is such a process I'm ready to pay more money for peace of mind KNOWING I have RELIABLE service!!!
