I bought a straight talk mobile hotspot used. I already have a straight talk account. Every time I try to activate it, it says there is already an account with ny serial number. How can I get my serial number released from the person I bought it froms account without having to make them remove it from their account.

I'm having the same issue. Bought a phone and receive the following error:

"We are sorry, the Serial Number you entered is associated with another account or is already active. Please try again with a different serial number or log into "My Account"."

I purchased a phone and attempted to transfer my service on straighttalk.com, but I received the following error:
