Customer support told me to access an app in the Windows App store that doesn't exist for my device. Awesome customer service.

I always assumed these personal messages the reps are sending aren't really that helpful. Thanks for posting what they said. It should help future users.

What are your current APN settings for internet and mms?

Looping back to provide a conclusion (unlike the other posts *cough*) - spent a great deal of time talking to ST chat person and they resolved my data issue. Note: It took contacting nearly 6 different CSRs at ST so you might get someone who has no clue what they are doing. It's a bit of a crapshoot. When I finally got the CSR who knew what he/she was talking about, I literally did NOTHING to my phone and it started working. Therefore, my conclusion is the phone was not properly provisioned/configured on the ST side and I had to get a knowledgeable tech to fix it for me. I spoke to multiple CSRs who gave me erroneous info (one even sent me to an Andriod app when I'm using a Windows Phone) so it doesn't take much deduction to learn that the technical support is poorly trained. Keep at it and hope you get someone who knows what they are talking about and can work their magic behind the scenes and get you setup properly.

And people: complain. Loudly. This level of non-service is a joke. ST needs to hear from you and fix their issues.

Sorry for taking so long to reply, I am using the Nokia Access Point app to modify my APN settings. I have txt, voice and data but I still do not have MMS. Everytime I get to a CSR who reaches the limit of their knowledge (which is frequent) they send a canned msg along the lines of 'it is your device, not us' - which is total nonsense. Here are my APN settings:

CSR gave me these settings on 3/12/14 (any unmentioned fields are intentional as you should simply leave those fields blank/empty)
Edit internet APN
APN: tfdata
Edit MMS APN
APN: tfdata
Proxy Address: mms3.tracfone.com
Proxy Port: 80
MMSC Address: http://mms-tf.net
Network Type: IPv4

Aither1,

If one single customer support answer involves me searching Google or the like, I am switching to AT&T 3 seconds after I turn off my computer. I am a doctor. Would I tell a patient to Google their symptoms? No. After reading your experiences, I am surprised you are still a ST customer. If you are not, please let us know who you chose as your carrier and how well the porting went.
