Unable to send texts

Hey, I recentally received and activated a Nokia 6790. So far, everything's working great except sending text messages. Receiving them works, and picture/audio messages send, but regular text messages just get sent to the outbox, attempt resending for a while, and then fail. It's been over 48 hours since I've activated the phone, I've tried turning it off/back on and texting myself, and resetting the phone to factory settings; nothing's worked so far. Any advice?
