Blocked MMS?

Blocked MMS?

Postby hugasibe » Fri Nov 09, 2012 2:20 pm

It seems to me that Straight talk has blocked MMS. As this should be a relatively simple fix, if it is in fact possible. I have my doubts I am on my second device that after all the run arounds by CS here and at the manufactures CS still fails to deliver full service.
Oh and btw lets take it offline so no one sees how incompetent our CS really is!

It would be nice if anyone that has managed to get MMs to work would post their success story!

Private message never happened! If and when you do contact me let's skip alot of the usual stuff ie: I have already put all the ST setting into my phone. A simple yes it should work and I don't know why it isn't and I'll find out why or NO it won't work will satisfy me.

Hi hugasibe. My name is Straight Talk Charisse. Please create a new APN (Access Point Name). Enter only the settings listed below:

o APN Name: att.mvno
o MMS Name: Straight Talk
o Proxy: 66.209.11.33
o Proxy Port: 80
o Address: http://mmsc.cingular.com

Skip the other boxes, save it, and do a hard reset. Wait for about a minute before turning the phone back on. Make sure the WiFi feature is turned off before sending a picture message. If it's still not working, wait for an hour and then send another picture message. Let me know if that works. Thanks.

Hooray!!! I finally got my Nokia 710 to work with mms and group messages!!
These are my settings:

Access point name: att.mvno
Proxy address: proxy.mvno.tracfone.com
proxy port: 80

MMS APN
mms access point name: att.mvno
proxy address: 66.209.11.33
proxy port: 80
mmsc address: http://mmsc.cingular.com
Note all other entries are blank. Be sure to save settings!
By the way...A "hard reset" is NOT needed!
