Nokia E5 Memory Card Problem

Nokia E5 Memory Card Problem

Postby belnor1 » Thu Sep 13, 2012 12:38 pm

Hi,
Yet another problem with this phone. I am starting to get really mad cause it took two freaking weeks to activate! Now, the problem is that when I have the memory card inserted, it says I have no memory card inserted. Just send me a new memory card. I am really mad.

Hi belnor1. The memory card may not be compatible with the phone. Is this the first memory card inserted in the phone?

Hi,

Yes it is the first memory card inserted into the phone. It came with the phone, a 4GB memory card. I would not be surprised if it is the incorrect memory card; my phone was shipped with mismatching SIM card/codes, which resulted in a two week long ordeal just to get it activated. I also read that Nokia E5 has to have a specific memory card, and cannot just use any type of card. I suspect I have an incompatible card.

So, what's next?

Hi belnor1. My name is Straight Talk Charisse. Let's make sure if the memory card has been inserted properly. Please follow the instruction below and let me know what happens.

1.Once you remove the back cover and battery, locate the memory card holder on the left side of the battery compartment.
2.Unlock the holder by sliding it down and pulling up.
3.Arrange the memory card so that the gold pins on the card face downward. Slide the memory card into the holder. Then close the holder, hold it down in place, and slide it up until it locks and snaps into place.
4.Replace the battery and cover.

Hi,

yes, I did all the steps to the letter, but still the same problem. It has to be another mismatched item, this time being the memory card itself. What's next? This one certainly doesn't work, the one that came with he phone.

We're sorry for the delay, belnor1. Is there a way you can insert a different memory card? We have to check if it has something to do with the microSD card or the memory card slot itself. Thanks.

Can't insert a different memory card, sorry. I suggest you send me a 'proper' memory card that is guaranteed to work with Nokia E5s. It already took me two weeks with zero connection to he world to get this damn phone activated. Fix it. Don't make me wait anymore. If I buy something, it better work!
