I just received my Nokia E5 phone and am having the same issue with the message that the "sim card is not valid". After finally getting through to tech help via my office phone I ended up talking with two separate people, and I apologize if this appears condescending but I could barely understand either one.
I now have to wait for 3 to 5 days for another sim card and also had difficult time getting the last guy to take my office address as I had to take time off from work today to go home to wait for FedEx as I was not aware I had to sign for it so not wasting time doing that again.
I did ask if there was any way of having the sim card overnighted and just got a flat "no". I was so looking forward to this new phone and service and as other have written if I had not already purchased the 30 day service and gone through all this I would go elsewhere. I am very disappointed.
