Nokia Lumia 920 "Sim card is invalid or missing"

I just received the micro SIM card by mail and activated the phone successfully. However, when I inserted the SIM card (correctly), the phone does not recognize it and only says "sim card is invalid or missing". That's why I can't even change the APN settings since it doesn't allow me to because it doesn't recognize a sim card or any network. My phone is a Nokia Lumia 920 which was bought from Finland but it is unlocked etc. as I have previously used all kinds of sim cards in it around the world. Can anyone help me?
