So....is it possible to have an E71 and switch the SIM card so that it would then run on Verizon towers?

Hi BuzzFisher. My name is StraightTalk Stephanie and I will be addressing your question. No, that is not possible. You cannot switch the SIM card from a Nokia E71 phone to any other phones. And CDMA phones under Verizon does not have SIM cards. Thanks!

In another thread I was advised that I could use an unlocked phone (as long as it is GSM) with Straight Talk. It appears that GSM means AT&T, is that correct? Verizon is BY FAR the carrier of choice in Vermont......and I am having no luck finding a phone comparable to the E71 (or E5) that uses Verizon on ST. Any suggestions or things I'm not understanding?

GSM phones are under AT&T or T-Mobile network. The Nokia phones run off AT&T network only. If you only have Verizon network in your area, you may choose from the phone models ending in "C" except the Android phones because that run off Sprint Prepaid Network. Thanks!
