Nokia 6790 Hearing Problem

I bought a reconditioned Nokia 6790 last week and since the day I activated it, I have not been able to hear anything from the phone. I do not hear ringtones, music, or people I am trying to call unless I activate loudspeaker or am using my bluetooth headset.
