Coverage service and internet not working...

Since I switched from a Samsung to a Nokia E71, I have not received coverage in places I use to when i had my old phone. It also says its covered by At&t; I thought straight talk used Verizon? Also my internet is not working it says to check my data package and there is nothing there? how do i fix it??
