DROPPED CALLS

I have used Straight Talk for over two years without any major problems. Last week my phone would let me call out and receive calls but would drop every call. We have lived in this current spot for 1 1/2 years so I know my phone should still get great reception here. I thought it might just be my phone so I placed my SIM card in another phone to see if it would do the same. It did. So, I called Straight Talk customer service and the rep told me to keep the SIM card in the new phone for a whole day and see if it would start working properly. It didn't. I then called Straight Talk again and was told I needed a new SIM card. I received it in the mail yesterday and activated it. I also bought a brand new phone. With the new SIM card and new phone (Samsung Galaxy S3) I am still dropping 90% of calls in our home where I had maybe dropped 1 or 2 calls in the past 1 1/2 years. I also should note that my husband also uses Straight Talk and does not use a SIM card and his phone is working fine here at home. What now?

I was a page plus customer and was very dissatisfied with the customer service and was paying more money for less service so I decided to come to straight talk. In order to do this I had to:

1. port my number
2. purchase another phone (samsung galaxy s3)
3. purchase a new sim card
4. have the sim card activated

well I did all of this on the 16th of May... and HAVE NOT HAD PROPER SERVICE SINCE. noone seems to know the correct combonation of values to put in my APN settings to get it to work consistantly. My 4 g comes and goes, and even if i have full 4g and 5 service bars my calls are dropped either after a few rings or 3 minutes. sending texts are hit and miss also. 4 g seems to work better at night for whatever reason, but is still flaky.... its to the point that my calls are automatically escalated to managers.... and they don't know anything eitther. I wasted an hour and a half with NO resolve... just the direct number to the management line....

I'm suddenly having dropped calls and only 1 bar of reception in my home. I've been on Straight Talk for a while and never had this problem before. Is there anything I can do?

Yes I am not impressed with my Oct 2013 purchased Samsung III phone either. I was directed by the Straight talk internet to choose this phone for my zipcode. And guess what almost everyone of my phone calls have been dropped. Not fun.

I have a StraightTalk Samsung Galaxy S3 that's been dropping my calls. It has happen constantly since I purchased this phone approximately 1 month ago. I previously owned a Straight Talk Samsung Galaxy Proclaim, the LG Optimus Showtime, and the ZTE Majesty (all Straight Talk phones) and I did not have any drop calls with either of them. It's only with this Galaxy S 3 that it happens. Is the phone defective? Help.
