LG Optimus Q changing time by itself?!

LG Optimus Q changing time by itself?!

Postby lyndsaymartin76 » Sun May 27, 2012 11:40 pm

For 2 days my phone has been changing time by itself. It flips back and forth. No rhyme or reason to it. For instance, right now in my time zone it is 11:14 pm, but my phone will flip back and forth between 11:14pm and 4:14am. It is always 5 hours ahead when it does this. I called customer support with this problem. After staying on the phone for an hour, I am back to square one. There is NO option on my phone to change the time, and my time zone (EST) is not visible when the time flips. In other words, when it jumps 5 hours ahead, if I go under the calendar setting and tap "use home time zone," it is assumed that my home time zone is whatever my phone is running under at the time (5 hours ahead). The customer service person was at a loss and told me to go to Youtube and search for videos on how to change the time. That's fine, but once I change it, is it going to stay? I am supposed to have an option under settings/date & time to set my time, but it is not there. This is so annoying and inconvenient as I use this as an alarm clock!

you won't see your posts. they won't post them if there's ANYTHING negative in them at like their service is terrible. If you do get a response, it will be the following: "My name is StraightTalk xxxx. Sorry that you’re having a problem. I’m going to try to help you now. We need to take this issue offline so I can address it further. I will contact you directly with a private message and you will receive confirmation of this at the email address you provided when you signed up for this forum. Thanks. xxxx"

I believe you've already seen that one. Let me know if they're able to resolve your problem and if so, how long it took, etc. I'm writing their corporate office and BBB to complain about their Customer Service or rather the lack of it.

I am STILL having this problem. I have been PM'ing with Elle, but she has not responded in a couple days. CAN this be fixed? It is like my phone is jumping between time zones every other minute, no matter where I am, no matter what the weather, no matter the signal strength, and no matter what I am doing. There is NOWHERE on my phone to change the time settings, and if there was, how do I know this is going to stay? Can someone please get to the bottom of this and let me know something? Thank you.
