Why are the smartphones only run off of the sprint towers? Will there ever be a smartphone that will be able to work everywhere instead of certain towns? Everyone wants one but no one wants one that does not guarantee coverage when you really need phone service! I would buy one but it does not work in the area I live in so it sucks for me!

Hi Girly014. My name is Straight Talk John and we're sorry for the troubles. We will try to help you. Our Straight Talk Smart phones run off AT&T towers and Android phones run off Sprint. May we have your zip code so we can check if what phones are available in your area? Thank you.

If you want a wider selection of phones, check out the Straight Talk SIM option. With that, you have the choice of many unlocked phones which run on either AT&T or T-Mobile networks.

I have an Android. It worked fine since Nov. 2011. 2 weeks ago, no signal. I have been told the there are three Sprint towers in my area Near Binghamton NY. All three towers are down. They told me between March 25 and March 28th. Service would be back by the 28th. It is April 4th. No service. I just want a straight answer. I have been paying for service. However, it is stressful to see the calls trying to come through and not be able to answer or call. It works fine if I drive 20 miles. Not sure now, If I should try one of the other non contract companies or buy a different phone. Would just like the truth, so I can deal with it.
