Intermittent Receipt of Text Msgs

I am new to this forum but need help please. I have a LGL34C phone for one year now same as my wife model and for same time living in same house. We receive text msgs from our pastor of our church and almost always they are sent to both of us simultaneously from the source. I do not always receive the text msgs from him but my wife does. Sometimes we will sit in the same room and her phone will receive the text and I will not and later I find out that that text msg was also sent to me at the same time. I called ST tech support and they could find nothing wrong with my account or my phone but had me reprogram my phone and also re set the roaming. This issue has been ongoing for 3 months but was not an issue for the 9 months prior to that from the same source and I only have this issue from that source.
