Intermittant Service

Intermittant Service

Postby nohitter1217 » Fri Oct 24, 2014 2:34 pm

I've had straight talk for years without any problems. A few months ago I bought a "new" phone an LG Optimus G. I bought a new 4G sim card to go with it and since I've had it I can go from having full bars of coverage to Emergency calls only and no bars within seconds. This happens just sitting and happens everywhere. Home, work, anywhere. I've searched google with no solutions but plenty of other people have seemed to had this issue.

I've called ST and they said it is a normal thing to lose coverage. (Not like this) Also when I put my wife's sim in the phone it works fine. It's the older model Sim. So I know it's not a phone issue. I've seen other people post on here and a ST representative has sent them a private message. Hopefully it is a solution to this.

Please Help!

I am having the same issue. Reception at my home was very good until this year. Now it is intermittant and more than half the time there is no signal. And these issues are getting worse as time goes by. I live within 5 miles of two cell phone towers. I have replaced my phone's battery in the last 4 months. I called ST about these issues this summer. When my phone finally dialed and I was finally able to reach someone at ST, I got a lot of polite conversation but no answers. Please help. I need to have reliable phone service. It doesn't have to be yours.
