I have had straight talk for awhile now and as long as I had an AT&T phone from straight talk I never had this problem mow I have a Verizon phone I have this roaming issue. I just $130 on this phone and I expected it to work with straight in the same places every other phone I have had in the past two years did. I am really getting aggravated. After 2 years I am considering swapping carriers because of this.

I have a new LG Treasure LTE... second one now... tried both Tracfone and Straight Talk.. and I am getting the "you are roaming" message. I also have a Verizon cell phone. When I make certain calls on it, w/o an area code, I sometimes get a message from US Cellular that I must dial using an area code.

I am having the same problem. It claims I am "Roaming" via Version Wireless and not allowing me to make calls or text.

I started my ST service on 7/04/17 with a new ZTE Z799VL phone. An ongoing problem is that when going into northern WV and western Md, phone goes to Roaming, even though signal strength on 4GLTE is good. My home area is w. Pa., spent 2 days visiting friends and family in Hagerstown, Md, had good signal, was able to send and receive texts, yet could not make and receive calls. ST coverage map includes area where we stayed. Spent an hour on a Verizon phone with ST techs trying to get problem resolved but to no avail. This situation is unacceptable.

I have the same problem
