Slow connection speeds on iPhone 4

I have an unlocked AT&T iPhone 4. The Internet works, but it's crazy slow. It affects the web browser, navigation apps, etc. is there some settings that will speed it up? I've been using it close to a month and I've had the issue the whole time.

Same here. Been having data drop-outs for a week and it's getting worse. I guess I have to post 5 times before someone will help me.
