Samsung Galaxy Note APN Settings?

Samsung Galaxy Note APN Settings?

Postby Jambal » Tue May 15, 2012 9:24 pm

I just got my unlocked Galaxy Note today. I have it on Simply Mobile, I'm only getting EDGE, will I be able to get 3G with Straight Talk in the NYC area?

Hi Jambal. My name is Straight Talk Charisse and I will be addressing your question. It actually depends on the coverage provided to that area and with the network that provides service to your phone (AT&T or T-mobile). Thanks.

im actually doing some research on straight talk looking at how this particular phone would work with ST. it would be an ATT phone so i would get a ST ATT sim card to work with an unlocked note.

since i will have an ST ATT sim card can i basically go to ATT.com and look at their coverage map for my coverage on straighttalk with the my note?

Hi theriddler????. My name is StraightTalk Stephanie and I will be addressing your question. StraightTalk supports AT&T Prepaid Network only. As long as you have service in the area, you will get coverage. Thanks!

Hi theriddler????. The coverage map is not updated with the new GSM android phone so we cannot provide you with a definite coverage map for now. As long as you have AT&T Prepaid network in the area, then the phone will work. Thanks!

Can Someone tell me the Exact APN settings they are getting on a Samsung Galaxy Note Unlocked by ATT.

Mine is not recognizing the SIM and Straight Talks tech support has told me nothing more that to check the SIM card and make sure the phone has enough battery power. Total IDIOTS!.

I would appreciate anyone's input here.

BY The way, for thise who have this model working, are you getting LTE service from the ATT network?

Hi edfx. My name is Straight Talk Charisse. Please create a new APN (Access Point Name). Enter only the settings listed below:
Name: straight talk
APN: wap.tracfone
Proxy: leave blank
Port: 8080
MMSC: http://mms.tracfone.com
MMS Proxy: leave blank
MMS Port: leave blank

Select the APN you just created and delete the old APN from your phone if possible. Afterwards, try sending a picture message and access your web browser. Let me know if that works. Thanks.
