Seriously Need Help Please.

I currently have the ZTE Merit which is brand new and thinking of taking it back to Walmart and paying the $50 to get the Straight Talk Samsung Galaxy Proclaim cause it has 1GB of memory AND it has a 1Ghz processor... that is so much better then the Merit. But here is my concern... looking at the Android Coverage map it doesn't look like its all that great and I need to use the GPS Navigation along with Google Maps to get from Gassville Arkansas to Glenolden Pennsylvania. Is this going to be an issue with the GPS not functioning properly with such limited coverage?

Could I ask someone from Straight Talk to use Google and look at my travel route and what the coverage is and let me know if Im going to run into difficulties? For sure don't need Nav not working while driving in 100+ degree weather with no air conditioning in the car for over 1000 miles. haha

Hi HarryNutz. Please be informed that the Samsung Galaxy Proclaim runs off Verizon Prepaid Network. To check your coverage, your best bet is to go to http://www.verizonwireless.com/, click on Coverage Locator in the top right corner. Under Select Coverage Type choose Prepaid, and then click on Refresh Map. You can then zoom in by your zip code or SE US. Areas in dark purple are covered by Straight Talk CDMA. Areas in white or light purple are not. Thanks!
