Hi Schazami. My name is Straight Talk Jennifer and I will be addressing your question. You can check this link for our current phone models: http://www.straighttalk.com/Phones. Phone models ending in C (except the Androids) work off Verizon towers. I believe this answers your question. It’s been a pleasure helping you. Have a good day.

Straight Talk Jennifer, does it normally take a while to get questions answered? I have posted several questions since last night but am unable to view them, let alone get an answer. I saw where they have to be approved by a moderator, but was wondering how soon I might expect some answers. I just discovered this forum yesterday so I am new to it. Thanks

Based on that info, there is only one phone that works on VZW towers... the LG100C. However, the map displayed with the Proclaim sure looks like VZW's map coverage. But that's an Android phone.

Can you say what towers the Android phones operate on? The coverage map is lacking in detail.

Hi speedlever. My name is Straight Talk Anne and I will be addressing your question.
Android phones run off Sprint network except Samsung Proclaim that runs off Verizon network and ZTE Merit Z990G that runs off AT&T network.

Thanks Anne. Since that post, I've learned that ST uses all 4 of the major carriers, depending on the phone in question. So if one prefers one carrier over another, it will pay to do some research to discover what phones are covered by each carrier.

I wish ST made that information readily available so that the phone choice process would operate much smoother. Is there a reason one has to dig to discover the carrier for each phone?

The link that Jennifer posted above does contain many phones with -c and -g designators, but none of the Android phones have that information. I thought that phones with a T designator are TMobile network phones.

And the Android phones appear to be:
ZTE Merit - AT&T
Galaxy Proclaim - VZW
Optimus Q, Optimus Black, and Galaxy Precedent - Sprint
