Porting Tracfone to Straight Talk

Porting Tracfone to Straight Talk

Postby SectorStar » Thu Mar 22, 2012 8:02 pm

I just recently attempted to port my tracfone cell number to a straight talk phone via the activation process on straight talk's website. Its been about an hour since I tried. On my tracfone account via the tracfone site, it says my phone is inactive, yet I'm still able to call, receive calls, and text from my original tracfone. The account on my straight talk phone is saying that my number is the one I wanted to transfer but that isn't the case obviously because when I call from my landline phone my old tracfone still rings. I've been getting several text messages on and off on my tracfone saying "please call our customer care service to complete this transaction." I really don't want to call because I can not get a hold of a human being most of the time or get put on hold for 20+ mins or more. Should I just wait a little longer to see if it finishes or is calling the number the only way to finalize this?

My ticket number for porting my phone is 1047988303 is that helps at all.

I could not find a way to reply to you via private message so I'll reply on here. Old tracfone now is deactivated. According to my straight talk phone under the prepaid phone menu it looks like my number was transferred ok. I dialed the *22890. Said everything was successful, phone restarted, but it is still saying "activation required" on the main screen, and sometimes a thing popping up telling me to call customer care at 1800 867 7183 pops up. I hung up after not getting a human being after 15 mins. I hope to have better luck on this forum

SectorStar, we need to enter some codes to your phone. Press Menu, go to Prepaid and select Code Entry Mode. Enter *#0, then press OK. Provide me the code below Parameter 00. Thanks.
