Can't receive calls!

Can't receive calls!

Postby ashuford » Fri Jun 07, 2013 9:19 am

I just bought a new LG Optimus Q phone from Straight talk. I had a old motorola phone that I was using a bring your old sim card with. When I got the new phone i did a port of the number. It took a while to activate but it finally did. Now you can call out on the phone but can't receive calls. But the weird thing is the old phone still works perfect. So I called straight talk 4 times and they refreshed something and called me and it worked but as soon as I would hang up you couldnt receive calls again as it would go straight to voice mail. So the last customer service person said to take the battery out of the old phone and it would take 1-3 hours and it should work. Well its been 12 hours and when you try to call my phone it goes straight to voice mail. I am getting really frusterated. HELP!!!!!

I used the bring your own phone program ; and ported my number over from alltel. that's been 15 hours ago; when I call alltel they tell me porting is not complete, but yet yesterday straight talk called and said by 8pm that night it will be completed and that I would have to dial *22890 so around 8PM I noticed my phone wasn't recieving incoming calls but that I could make outgoing calls. I cannot send or recieve text messages either. So I dialed the *22890 number activated my phone it said wait 15 MINUTES for service to start. LIke I said it's been 15 HOURS I contacted customer service which by the way is terrible and was on the phone with two different people over 2 hours neither of which helped me at all. they both did the same troubleshooting and had me factory reset my phone and everything. still cannot recieve calls or texts . im starting to get really aggravated because I paid for this service, therefore I should get this service. ALL OF IT! I was told to wait 24 hours and another update MIGHT be available and if it doesnt work call back. FOR WHAT to go through the same troubleshooting that didnt resolve the issue before. OMG and of course alltel doesnt help none neither because I'm using their phone because I thought straight talk was better than them and look what I get . MESSED UP SERVICE. im sick of this. Someone needs to help me figure out what is going on and how do I resolve this issue ASAP.
