Bring Your Own Phone/Activating SIM issues

Bring Your Own Phone/Activating SIM issues

Postby pipp » Thu Feb 06, 2014 11:37 pm

I just received a new SIM card which I ordered directly from StraightTalk for the "BYOP" ATT compatible setup.
After following the normal procedures to attempt to activate the ATT SIM with their provided "substitute serial number" which came with the new ATT compatible SIM card, as well as the actual phone service pin# requested, I get the following alert/notice:
"The serial number/phone number you entered does not belong to Straight Talk phone, please check your serial number / phone number and try again."

The main StraightTalk website seems not functioning well at all of late and is very slow and "buggy"

I would appreciate if there some way I can get some support on this.

Thanks
pipp

Why has this issue not been answered on here? I am getting the SAME exact message. I just received my sim card today and was really excited to set up my new phone but I just keep getting the alert -- " The serial number / phone number you entered does not belong to Straight Talk phone, please check your serial number / phone number and try again." I am following all the instructions. What is going on here?
