I attempted to switch my unlocked phone to Straight Talk last night. I bought a SIM kit with plan at the local store and put a new SIM in my phone. However, when I put the SIM number and my IMEI number in, the site told me I didn't need the new SIM and should put the old one back in, which I did. Something doesn't seem right about that. Now I've activated the new Straight Talk plan but I don't know that my phone is properly changed over.

How do I find out and/or what do I do now?
I feel like if the right thing to do is put the new SIM in, I might not be able to connect to my now activated plan.

Hi Larry, I see you are helping a lot of people with this same issue. I need some assistance with bringing over an unlocked phone that your site rejects the IMEI for because it is not in your database. I need to purchase a new Straight talk sim card and I want to make sure I get the correct one please and thank you. You can email me directly at Fallon@runtriz.com as I don't have access to the inbox feature here on the forum as I just created my account today when I saw this thread full of people having the same identical problem as me. Thank you!
