low internal memory

I just bought a Z T E Merit. From the beginning it says low internal memory. As a result I can hardly download any apps. After calling tech services they told me too bad. Not in so many words. Anyhow any ideas on how to fix this problem? I sure would like to use this phone to its fullest capabilities.

I am having the same problem. I purchased an 8gb sd card to move what i could to that but am still constantly having to deal with the low memory problem. I would love some suggestions on how to fix this.

On another note, all of my ringtones have disappeared. When I click on the settings/sound/ringtones there are no ringtones anymore.

you could try an SD card for extra memory if you do not have one
