Limited Coverage on Verizon's Prepaid Network

I found out the hard way, after wasting time and money, that Straight Talk phones that use the Verizon network DO NOT get the same coverage that you get as a Verizon regular contract customer. To anyone who is looking into getting a phone that uses the Verizon network with Straight Talk, I would highly recommend going to the Verizon website and looking at their PREPAID map for coverage. It could save you a lot of time and frustration. I wish I had known this before I wasted time and money on Straight Talk.

Not truly unlimited...

I am disabled and use my phone a great deal as it is my only connection to the world most days. Six days after purchasing an 'unlimited' $45 card my phone was permanently shut off.. I was told by straight talk customer service it was because I called my family too much. Straight talk told me my only recourse is to purchase another phone and another $45 plan from them. Why would I do this if they are going to shut it off after six days? Anyone looking for a truly unlimited talking plan, this is NOT it. If you think it is and use it you will end up paying for 24 days of time you never get to use, just as I have

Worked for a few months, now nothing

This worked for a few months as long as I was in a big city. Now the phone has a hardware problem and thinks it is connected to a computer all the time. When it was working I tried using it in a rural area and, although the area was shown to have coverage on the map, I had to drive outside of town to get service. Now I have no way of getting my contacts or pictures off the phone itself and am trying to get an exchange but the WalMart store warranty has expired so I am trying to work with Straighttalk because Samsung will not cover it even though they manufactured it.

My phone has gotten to where it won't even allow any form of data, I'm debating going back to my big carrier and calling it a day. :(

I've had ST for a long time. 2 phones were ST ones and now I'm using a ST sim in an att phone. The only time I've had real issues is when I had a phone that was ready for the garbage......it would text fine but nearly impossible to hear/be heard when using for calling. I've had the $45 plan for all but my first new months and I'm extremely happy with it! Except for my new phone not sending/receiving pics........UGH!

I have had a few minor issues but compared to how much I was paying with verizon. It has been worth the switch.

They're ridiculous. I just got off the phone with a "manager" and they told me basically "Sorry your data speed is slow. It must be your fault somehow." Really? REALLY?!

1) My APN settings are up to date.
2) Speedtest.net has me at 123 kb/s dl and 1124 kb/s ul. Have you ever experienced a data service with faster UPLOAD than download?
3) I'm on Wi-Fi every chance I get in order not to overuse data - I understand that to have unlimited data, you have to not clog the network.
4) I've used less than 200mb of data each day when not on Wi-Fi.

Someone tell me how it's my problem?

Oh, I'm also on H+, which is ATT's 4G.

I'm hoping some mod asks me to make posts so they can talk to me. I'd like to tell them what they can do to fix it.
