My galaxy S3 keeps telling me there is no OS update for my phone which I know is NOT the case as this OS is several years old. I want to update to kitkat, however my phone tells me there is no update available (which is obviously not true). My phone currently has 4.1.2 on it. I would like help getting this fixed because this version is so old my battery life is horrible (and my phone literally almost has nothing on it). How do I fix this?

It has been branded or modified to our service. If you wish to upgrade your software to a higher version, although we don't recommend it, then this will be at your sole risk. Are you serious? Samsung has released several updates to the os and the version you use is bugged and drains battery but you do not support updates to the phone? You have to be kidding. Why? Why do you not allow updates to better software? You're telling me that in order to get a better OS I have to buy an entirely new phone OR risk bricking my current one? If I'm going to have to buy a new phone anyway why would I continue to use your services when I would have to just (again) buy a new phone in a couple of years?

I would also like to know why straight talk does not support updates. Not supporting updates can cause a large loss in customer base.
