Can I buy a Verizon Prepaid phone and then buy the BYOP

I went to my local Wal-Mart and I saw a Verizon Prepaid phone I want called "LG G Vista". I don't want to switch to the Verizon Prepaid plan I wanna stay with Straight Talk, So can I buy a Verizon Prepaid phone and get the Straight Talk BYOP Plan at the same day and same time and don't have to worry about activation fee on the Verizon Prepaid from Verizon? Thank You!
