Lost 3G LG Showtime

Lately I have noticed I have lost my 3G coverage, I am thinking maybe I should subscribe to a Verizon cell phone and pay a monthly fee, since I basically pay for it anyway. I can't access my own wireless network even at home on my phone. Is there a solution to this?
