Poor Data Connectivity

My data connectivity is poor. Getting "timed out" message or "unable to find secure connection" consistently.

Same here. I love everything about ST EXCEPT the very poor data connectivity. It is super slow. One thing I need when I'm out and about is Google Maps. I can't make it work with ST. I get time out messages all the time. I have reconfigured the APN but don't know what else to do!
What I don't understand is this: ST advertises that they use Verizon towers (we are in Montana, Verizon country!) but my phone seems to use only ATT. Is that why it doesn't work?
My husband was about to ditch Verizon like I did but now he says he's not impressed with my experience and will stay with V even though he really hates them.
Please help!
