Getting my contacts back

I had my last Samsung phone just die on me so I went to Walmart got a new Samsung phone, registered it and had to wait three days while they said my number and all my data was being transferred. only to be told once the number was activated again. so here is my problem I don't have my contacts again last time one of the straighttalk teck erased them now my phone died and I don't have any contacts again, how can this be resolved
