unable to change VPN to APN

I'm unable to change my iPhone 3gs VPN to APN so that I can get my phone to work with Straight Talk. The iphone was unlocked but I can't get it to do anything but receive and make calls. I have no internet, text or picture MMS working.

What have you used to change your apn setting? You can use iPhone configuration utility which is free to download its helps, you can use the tmobile sim swop method. Or jailbreak and use tetherme. I've done all three and the best and easiest is sim swap
