port verizon number to a phone that was just purchased & act

I just purchased the droid phone. the clerk activated it & told me to go to this site to port my verizon phone number over. I am not finding this user friendly at all and am getting quite frustrated. please help

yeah, don't know why they activated it for you. The port and the activation should have been done at the same time. Go to straighttalk.com and click on where it says Activate, and you'll see the options there for porting/activating simultaneously.
