New Phone Settings Downloaded

I had a pop-up window come up this morning when I got up and turned my phone on asking me if I want to update my phone settings. Seeing I'm still having issues texting photos to anyone without an iPhone I said yes. When my AT&T 4g service has now been downgraded to 3G and I can't get it back! Anyone know how to fix this? thanks for any help you can give.

Hi Avatar. Please note that updating your APN settings does not guarantee MMS (Multimedia/Picture Messaging) will work. MMS is dependent upon your phone model's limitations. We do not support this service for iPhones. The 4G or 3G data speed will depend on what is available in your area. Thanks.

Funny MMS works with an ATT phone on ATT but not on ST I don't think its the phone !!!!

Thanks for your reply. I've had 4G service from day one since its' availability here in my area (about one year now) and lost it only after this update the other day and it has never returned. As for the MMS photo texting. It was working fine on my iPhone 4s but I lost it with my update to iOS7 and haven't been able to get it back despite playing with my APN settings.

interesting I lost 4G service with a carrier update on the 6 DEC. Still have MMS service with ios7 installed. APN setting have disappeared on my phone iphone 4S. Use to be located in General setting near the bottom of list located between VPN and Reset.
