ST SIMS and iPhone MMS/DATA

Using the instructions at http://www.unlockit.co.nz/unlockit/ I can configure data and MMS.

My question is related to why the SIM swap is required (TMobile SIM) in the following steps. Why is this not natively supported by the ST SIM?

(Steps reproduced from the link)

- Go to Settings->General->Network
- Place T-Mobile SIM into iPhone
- A New Menu will come up (Cellular Data Settings)
- Go into this Menu and make sure the Details are are as below (Don’t exit)
- SIM Swap back to the Straight talk SIM Card
- Exit Cellular Data Settings Menu (Click Network up the top)
- The Cellular Data Settings Menu will Disappear now.
- MMS Works


Can someone provide technical reasons for ST SIM not supporting this?

Yep I ask the same question!!! Apple says its carrier allowed or not but it IS the carrier the sim swap only works on the 4 will not work on 3g, the box comes up but the setting dont stay when you exit out

The Sim swap is a gamble ...data and mms do not always work it seems.

Do you have an unlocked iPhone?
