AT&T IPhone XS Visual Voicemail

Hi everyone,
My wife has an AT&T Iphone xs and her visual voicemail works great. I have the exact same phone and my visual voice mail does not work at all. How do I get mine to work? And if I cannot get it to work, why does my wife's phone work flawless and mine doesn't? Thank you in advance!
