Wifi calling on lg v35 thinq unlocked AT&T phone

My phone has the option of wifi calling, but when I try to turn it on, I get the following message
"We can't turn on Wi-Fi Calling. Think this message is a mistake? Contact your Carrier. (RE0006)"
