Phone Number Transfer Issues

Ok.. so last night I was the owner of a galaxy s5. This morning I woke up with the phone half burnt.. so after that I decided to finally join the Apple club and get an iPhone today to replace it. now I’ve been a customer for a decent amount of time so I know the drill. You have to log onto the website and add the device. Then after that reset the phone. I’ve done with two times before this and it was all done within 10 minutes working fine. Today was different though. I got the data working fine. But the calls and texts do not. When I go to make a call it says “call failed”. I grew frustrated and called.. but they told me it could be 24 hours. But I don’t know.. I guess it just doesn’t feel right because this normally doesn’t happen. When I look at my number in the phone it reads “000000000” so I’m not really sure how to get this working again correctly.. any help or tips would help greatly because I really need a phone for my day to day life to operate.
