Galaxy sky- no voicemail notifications?

Any one have any idea or fix for a Galaxy sky not receiving notifications for left voicemail's? It worked for several months and then in the late spring it changed from the normal notification to the scrambled text when one was left and then another when the mail was heard...Now there has been a software update pushed and I lost notifications of any kind all-together...

I am having the same problem with two different Samsung sky phones. Spent 2 hours with 3 different people and they finally say they have to
call Verizon because they use their system. That doesn't make any sense. Told them my voicemail needed reset to standard basic voicemail, not
the visual voicemail. Help!
