decrease amount of rings before vm; and visual voicemail

Hey there. Idk if this had been asked before I did a search and couldnt find info ... how do I decrease the amount of times my phone rjngs before VM picks up. I bet alot of phone calls and dont want to send them to vm and they know I did, and its just annoying...it rings like 7 times..... plus did anyone find out the answer to the visual voicemail question ? I have an iphone 7 plus running IOS 11.2.2. I did download youmail and then discovered they charge you..no thanks..

Also... is there someway to tell you have a voicemail without having to call your vm everytime to check .. I dont get any notifications when I do get a voicemail.

Oh and im on the tmobile straight talk plan. If thats important. Thanks for any help !!!!
