unable to make or receive calls

I haven't been able to make a call from my phone for two hrs now. Every time I make a call a message comes on saying "welcome to verizon wireless, the number you're trying to reach has been changed disconnected or is no longer in service. Please check the number and try again." Is there something going on with the straight talk's service? I can send and receive text messages though.
