BYOD group SMS not working

I set up my wife's AT&T iPhone 4 on ST using the new sim-only option. Everything is working very well, but she's unable to send text messages (SMS) to multiple people at the same time. Is there a way to resolve this? She can send SMS to individual people without issue. Thanks!
